Our Take

Six critics, six positive reviews, and a rare thing for a sophomore season: nobody thinks it needed to reinvent itself. The consensus is that it succeeds by staying exactly what it was — warm, honest about rural healthcare and village politics, anchored by Amol Parashar and Vinay Pathak’s performances. The one recurring critique, raised independently by Hindustan Times and Timesnownews, is pacing: scenes that run longer than they need to in the back half. If you liked season one, this is more of the same in the best way, just occasionally in need of a tighter edit.

For all the things Gram Chikitsalay season 2 gets right, it isn’t completely free of flaws. The biggest issue is the pacing. A few scenes simply stretch longer than they need to, and you can feel the momentum slowing down as the episodes progress. There are moments when you’re waiting for the story to move forward, but the show takes its own sweet time getting there.

So, you can give it a shot. And if you ask me, I rate it 4 out of 5, which is quite fair to be honest.

That said, the season is not without flaws. Certain scenes linger longer than necessary and a stronger overarching narrative thread could have enhanced the overall impact. While the storytelling remains consistently engaging, a few more creative risks might have elevated the series to greater heights.
